Wonder If Her Arms Ever Get Tired?
Hey,
I was browsing through my photos and came across this pic. If you've never seen her before, she's affectionately called "Big Mamma" ... she's this mammoth (and I mean MAMMOTH) statue in Kiev. I think she is made from pure titanium and was a gift from Brezhnev in 1981. As Mother Motherland she watches over the land.
I've pretty much got photos of her from every angle, because on every visit, she's stunning. She towers over the city, can be seen from miles away and sometimes the sun reflects off her shield or sword and its breathtaking ... and I don't think a trip has passed where someone in the car hasn't smiled and said sheepishly "I wonder if her arms get tired?"
Sometimes lifting the shield and raising the sword in our stance for humanity and rightness and Kingdom cause is tiring ... sometimes watching over the world(s) we are entrusted with is challenging and exhausting. Sometimes we may want to be "human" and relax our arms, lesson our grip, take a break, take a breath, look around and wonder if there isn't someone else to take the watch.
The Word encourages us to "not grow weary in doing good" - and there's a saying that comes to mind that says, "all it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing". Well, if you are amongst those making a stand for what is right and good and courageous, if you live for what is kind and lovely and eternal, may I encourage you that you are not alone. As a Body of believers, we don't have to stand alone like Big Mamma. There is a rising Church on the earth and together we can encourage and strengthen one another, together we can watch and pray, together we can advance His Love and goodness across the earth, together we can combine "our good" so that evil no longer prevails.
If your arms are weary (figuratively speaking), be encouraged and be strengthened in His beautiful Name ... "for if we faint not, we shall surely reap a harvest beyond all imagination".
Have a magnificent week
Bobbie
"And let us not lose heart and grow weary
and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time
and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not
loosen and relax our courage and faint" (Gal 6:9 Amp)

Your Testimonies
What a beautiful analogy. Bless the both of you as you encourage other believers in their daily walk.
Sometimes we do feel that we "deserve" to be negative or slip up because it seems that we have been doing good for so long...This is such an encouraging word and a wake up call to persevere as Christ did.
Ditto to this. You know it makes me think of one of my favourite verses in Heb 12:2 where its talking about perseverance and it says that we are to consider "Jesus" the Author and Finisher of our faith - who for the joy set before Him endured the cross scorning its shame." In Isaih 53, it also says that "in making His soul and offering for sin He shall see His seed, prolong his days and for the trevail of His soul be satisfied." Who is His seed and who is His joy. We are - me and you. I was meditating upon this one day and I thought I was the joy set before Jesus - it was His love for me and the image He had of me in His heart that made Him endure the cross. Me and everyone else that would come to know Him. I was like "WOW". For those of you who have ever watched Cinderella man with Russel Crowe, there is a point in the film where he is almost beaten and all of a sudden he gets flashbacks of his family and their suffering. It was this image that made me think of Jesus and what must have gone through His mind when He was in excruciating unbearably pain and couldn't humanly stand under the weight of the cross. I am positive that it would have been flashes of not only His beloved Israel but of everyone else who would come to know Him. From the beginning of eternity He has known me. Taking this one step further, I thought, and this comes back to Daniellae's comment - "Wouldn't it be great to get to the point where my perseverance is motivated by the joy set before me - the deliverance, freedom and salvation of other people's soul - beginning with my family and then the other people around me." That instead of trying to save my own soul - I might loose it that I might find it - in the joy of living for others...

Encouragement in among sisters is the strongest foundation that unite sisters in trials and tribulation. Encouragement that strengthen in every aspects of life, but we must never waver from helping and praying for each other. Including helping the less fortunate. Remembering the book of James 5.13-16: Is any one of you in trouble? Is anyone happy? Let him(her) sing songs of praise. Is anyone of you sick? He(she) should call the elders of the church to pray over him(her) and anoint him(her) with oil in the name of the LORD. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well, the LORD will raise him(her) up. If he(she) sinned, he(she) will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you maybe healed. The prayer of a righteous man(woman) is powerful and effective. Thanks for your words of wisdom, sister Bobbie.. GOD bless you..
So like God to use this blog to speak exactly what I needed to know at this moment in my life. I'd almost written to you to ask about this very subject, but then I didn't. Looks like it was answered anyway. I'd wondered how in the world to keep working when you don't feel like it or good enough. Good thing God's kingdom doesn't run on human strength, but on the mightiness of His love. Thanks for the gentle kick in the bootie, I needed to be told to keep working and pressing on in Christ. Love to you and the Colour team. I'm so glad what you do is more than a conference or in Australia, cause this American chick needs something like this in her life!
I too needed to hear this just now.

Loved it. Thank you! So encouraging! So love your heart for the Kingdom and your uplifting, encouraging heart.
Gracias, realmente necesitaba cobrar fuerzas.
*Sorry if I wrote in spanish, my english is not so god and I think that writing in "my language" I show my feelings just as I feel them.
