Vision Rescue

THE FACTS

Vision Rescue is a non-profit, registered charity involved in feeding, providing non-formal education, medical help, skill training and other kinds of help to the addicted and abused street children.
Discovering that the street children desperately needed education and food, they decided to start giving them non-formal education. Considering the soaring real estate prices, they bought a school bus and converted it into a 'class room'. They have identified a few needy locations and park the bus wherever appropriate gathering children into the bus.
Two buses, used as a classroom for the children and over 30 committed volunteers help to reach the children. These children are taught the basics of Maths, Hindi, health and hygiene and moral sciences in an interactive way which allows them to learn in a non-formal environment.
The aim of the project is to graduate the children from this "school" into formal education. This program is designed to give them the confidence to attend regular school and the skills to negotiate the issues of being a "street child" in the school environment.
After "school", the children are provided with one nutritious, well balanced meal.

THE NEED

These children are now being fed and educated but what they need is someone to commit to praying for them.
We believe that prayer is a powerful tool that can ultimately impact these children's lives forever. As women we pray for our children; we pray for God's best over their lives, we pray for their future, their partner in life, their health, their safety. There are women in eternity asking who will take care of their babies, We can pray for these children on behalf of their mothers.
